New Fav:

Don't these look fantastic?!?! I want to try them BAD! Here is the recipe so you can too:

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pops
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
dash of cinnamon
1 stick butter, softened (it is even okay if it is melting a little)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Assorted candy melts:
1/2 package white chocolate candy melts
1/2 package chocolate candy melts
1/4 cup light blue candy melts
In a medium bowl combine the flour, salt, and dash of cinnamon. In a second larger bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy. Slowly beat in the flour mixture until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips. Roll the mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet lined with wax paper (Should make approximately 20) and insert a lolly pop stick.
Chill for several hours or freeze for 15-20 minutes until firm.
Melt candy melts in the microwave per directions on package. (30 sec intervals, stirring in between.) Gently dip the cookie dough ball into the candy coating by holding the lollipop stick and rotating until covered (if your lolly pop stick falls out, just dip the end in the melted chocolate and put it back in the ball). Once covered remove and softly tap and rotate until the excess chocolate falls off. Place in a styrofoam block to dry.To decorate with drizzled chocolate, place chocolate in a sandwich bag on a microwave safe dish and microwave in 30 second intervals moving the chocolate around between. Using scissors, cut the very tip off the sandwich bag. The smaller your cut, the smaller the drizzle. Use the sandwich bag to pipe the chocolate back and forth over the cookie dough pop until you reach the desired look. Return to styrofoam block to dry.

New Fav

I have just discovered these super cute reusable shopping bags from envirosax! They hold up to 44lbs but fold down to just the size of a cell phone. Brent and I have been wanting to get away from the plastic grocery bags but were not happy with a lot of the bags out there. Now I can't wait to get one of these...if I could only choose which one!!

TOOLS!!!

DeWalt 18V Cordless 6-tool combo kit = Yummy
Now that the house is settled (mostly), I have had a massive craving to get power tools! The idea of getting cheap Craigslist furniture and refinishing it, as well as building a shed in which to complete said refinishing, is a longing I don't know if I can resist :)
~Jo (YES, this is JOELLE not Brent. Brent could care less about power tools...)

My Dream Bathroom

So I have decided to gut my entire second floor to install this FABULOUS bathroom, what do you think? :)

Way, Way Too Excited!

I am just WAY too excited about getting to decorate my new home! (My parents are jumping for joy because I will no longer try to rearrange their furniture when I come home!) Below are a few of the color stories I was thinking about, because everyone knows that blue (every blue!) Is Joelle's favorite color, and I love pink accents as well.

Enjoy! ~Jo

This color scheme is my top fave at this moment
Love that lamp!

This one is great, but a little too pale, maybe with a few cobalt pillows

Love the color of the picture

Funny Thing of the Day:

So as some of you know, Brent had pneumonia a few weeks ago and missed an entire week of school. He received a whole stack of Get Well cards from his students, but one stood out from the rest.

Outside:
"Mr. Smith may your medicine tanks and white blood cell soldiers and helicopters win the Mr. Smith War!!!"

Inside:
Battle Plans (stick-figure of Brent with First, Second and Third division attack plans drawn in). "May your invasion to turn your body back to normal be successful" and "Activities to do when healthy - shower, walk, eat unhealthily"
